Coast Photography is the business name of Poole-based professional photographer Hamish Devlin. Hamish approached Tidal Studios in 2019 to produce a website for him to display and sell his photographic portfolio. Specialising in coastal scenes based largely around Poole Harbour and the Dorset coastline, Hamish also provides freelance photography services for commercial clients as well as live musical events. 

Tidal Studios designed and built the Coast Photography site in Wordpress and utilised WooCommerce to handle the online store. Images are displayed in a variety of categories and can prints can be purchased in a variety of sizes up to A1. Hamish can use the Wordpress CMS to add, delete and update product images as well as amend other pages on the site. By his own admission, Hamish is not the most ‘computer proficient’ client we have but he manages his online store with ease using the Wordpress backend.

The site also has galleries for his live events, commercial interiors and his ‘At Word’ portraitures, as well as a News page that Hamish also updates regularly. The site is now in its second iteration, having undergone a few stylistic changes a few years ago.

Alongside the business website, Tidal Studios also designed the Coast Photography logo, which we then utilised on business cards, letterheads and invoices. As with all brands that Tidal Studios create, the logo was created in Illustrator and so can be resized up to any size without loss of resolution: ideal for banners, posters and vehicle signage.
