The Scott Arms is an iconic Dorset pub set in the heart of the Purbeck countryside and overlooking the stately Corfe Castle ruins. The pub is busy throughout the year and is popular with locals, day-trippers and holiday-makers alike. The current landlords celebrated ten years in charge in 2019 and Tidal Studios is proud to have been working with them ever since they took over in 2009.

We were originally approached to design and build the pub’s website, which was rebuilt in 2016 to be responsive and content managed. We created the logo based around some classic serif typography and a colour scheme to reflect the pub’s setting (as well as the lush Virginia Creeper that covered the pub’s facade during the spring and summer). The strapline ‘Drink in the View’ references the breathtaking panorama from the rear of the pub over Corfe Castle and the route of the Swanage steam railway.

The website content was produced from scratch by Tidal Studios including all the copywriting and photography. We added the B&B booking portal in later years as well as keeping the News & Events blog updated and shared to the pub’s social media channels. We subsequently designed the Jerkshak logo and branding for the pub’s popular Jamaican barbecue including some jar labels for their jars of fiery jerk marinade. We’ve since produced posters, event tickets, menus, business cards, advertisements, signage and branded clothing for this hugely popular and widely acclaimed pub.
